ARC Tour Sites

There have been a lot of great new ARC tour sites popping up recently. For those who are not familiar with ARCs, they are copies of books that have not yet been published. These are typically provided by the publisher in order to generate buzz about the books. Tours allow many bloggers to read and review a book before it is released, while keeping the cost lower for the publisher, as printing many ARCs is very expensive.

I am keeping a list of ARC Tour sites in my links section. I will continue to update as I discover more sites. If you don’t see your site listed, make sure to email me and I will add it. Some of the new tour sites include:

We Love YA Tours

Star Book Tours

Not Forgotten Tours

Crazy Book Tours

Check the links page for a more complete listing. If you are a reviewer, author, or publisher and have ARCs available, please consider donating them to these sites so that they will be available to a wider audience.

From what I have heard, Net Galley is also a great way of requesting e-book copies of ARCs directly from publishers. I hope to try it soon. If it is as great as others say it is, I might have to invest in an e-reader to keep up with the e-books on the site.

  • I am grateful that you visited my pitiful sight and signed on as a follower. You are brave, but it will get better. I have read so many book blogs and not joined just because I figured I didn’t have the time. But I kept going back. Then all the sudden I found myself joining author sites and now I’ve got several reviews on GoodReads. I decided I can read and write I can do my own blog. Beginning to wonder about that.

I love your review of Sea and will definitely be getting a copy. Your way with words is far superior to mine. I enjoy your reviews and agree that putting the setting in the middle of a relief effort is a great way to bring awareness to teens. I mean Disney does their part (tongue in cheek) but it sounds like this novel will really stay with the readers.

  • Thank you so much. That means a lot to me! I am just starting out and constantly feel inferior to the bloggers who have been doing this for a while. I think comparing reviews and who gets what books and how many followers people have is just sort of part of being a blogger. You know you shouldn’t do it, but it’s hard not to.

I keep doing it because I know that it’s the only way I will get better and because it is fun. If I meet cool people and get free books, that’s a bonus, but you have to be willing to invest a lot of time and money and passion, I think, before getting to that point.

I look forward to following your blog as it grows, and I’m happy to help promote it when you get some more content up there.
