Everyone Loves a Love Story

Most of the books I have been reading lately have some romantic thread that runs through them, even if it is not the main element. There are one-on-one relationships. There are an abundance of love triangles. There are couples that love each other and then hate each other and then love each other again.

I enjoy reading romance as much as the next person, but when I look around at most of the people I know (myself included), it seems that finding a date–let alone a relationship–is not that easy. I know there are books out there that feature single characters, whether they are about the fact that the person is single or not.

What are some of your favorite books about single protagonists?

Also, if you happen to be a single, good-looking, book-loving male in your twenties (preferably in the upstate NY area), feel free to leave particularly detailed contact information. (I’m kidding. Mostly.)
