  • I’m a Lily. (BTW this book is NEXT on my TBR!!) My favorite funny memory is when we gave my daughter (she was about 5 years old — now she’s 22, so this is an old one)a big 4-piece little tykes kitchen that we set up next to the tree. She came in and immediately went to the packages under the tree. It took her about 20 minutes to even notice the kitchen!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • I am more like Lily. I love Christmas, specially because of the delicious food and candies we usually eat.

My favorite Christmas was when I was 6 years old. I think it was the last Christmas I believed in Santa. He left me under the tree my favorite Barbies, the vet and the doctor. And also he ate the cookies my mom and I had baked.

  • Thanks for the giveaway! I’ve heard such great things about this book! I would say I’m more of a Lily, I love the holidays hype 🙂 However, something I hate about the holidays season is Christmas music on the radio. Especially when the radio station does nothing except Christmas music.

  • Can I be both? I love Christmas, especially now that I have kids, but only from December 23-January 1. I hate seeing people get trees and decorate before they’re even done eating their turkey on Thanksgiving! We don’t put up our tree until Christmas Eve. So I’m Dash until right before Christmas and then I turn into Lily. 😉

  • I’m more Dash but getting better. I worked in retail for over 4 yrs and it takes a lot of the christmas spirit out of you. My son is 6 now and really getting into it so it’s wearing off on me.

  • Lily! I LOVE the holiday season! (I wish people would wait until after Thanksgiving to start celebrating though… the poor turkeys.)

I get excited when I can buy gifts for other people. I like shopping around for loved ones and friends and finding THE PERFECT gift for each of them 🙂 I also love wrapping presents! It’s fun to make them look colorful and decorative!

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  • I am DEFINITELY a Lily. I love Christmas and the season. Can’t think of a particular holiday memory that I cherish really, but I can tell you that I love A Christmas Story and will watch it as many times as possible. I also love cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies.

  • I am such an old fashioned Lily. I love old decorations passed on through generations of my family. Even though my family at large has sense been separated, it reminds me of the simple good times when I was young. Old cartoon Christmas movies are a must!! Happy Holidays ya’ll!

  • I can’t wait to read this one! I love unpacking ornaments for the tree. Every year, for as long as I can remember, I and my three siblings have received an ornament in our Christmas stockings. By now, we each have a sizable collection, which we unpack together every year. It’s fun to see all the ornaments we’ve amassed over the years!

  • I’m Lily for sure. I celebrate December 1st all the way to the 31st. I’m not very social but when it comes to Christmas I will go to all kinds of events!
My fave Christmas memory is kind of my worst too. It was Christmas Eve, I was 7 and I was sick with a really high fever. The cold and snow made the power go out and my parents, my brother and I ate hot dogs by the fire. It was a great moment even if I was sick, and the next day it even snowed! 🙂

  • I’m definitely a Lily! I love the Christmas holidays. The general feeling in the air, the Christmas decorations in store, the music, etc. I do have one seriously bad Christmas memory though and while I won’t go into details I will say it resulted in me spending Christmas in a hotel and eating Wafflehouse for Christmas dinner. XD

  • Overall, I LOVE the holidays, but if I have to be honest, I have to say that I hate the fact that everyone plays Christmas music for like two months straight.

I totally want to read Dash and Lily’s Book of Dares.

    Thanks for the giveaway 🙂

  • How do I know if I am a Dash or a Lily without having read this book? But it is high priority on my TBR list. Of course, if I am fortunate enough to win it here I can take if off my Christmas list & then get other books on my To Be Purchased list. That would be a GOOD holiday memory this year.

I used to be a big holiday person, then I did that growing up thing, moved away from home, have my own place and job in another state, and now going home is just levels of awkward and imposed rules that really make no sense for an independent 20-something. Add to that fact my lack of a car at home (because, you know, I fly and then stay with family) and I’m dependent on people I haven’t been completely dependent on since I was 14. (Yeah. I got my license at 15 before the age went up.)

But my favorite holiday memory is from when I was VERY young. My dad had bought my mom a new bike and she is notorious search-for-presents woman. So, as she searched each room for her presents, he’d move the bike after her. For a week, he followed her from the study, to my bedroom, to their closet, to the garage, to the shed. It was brilliant and she never found it.

  • I’m definitely a Lily (even after working retail for years.) I remember when I was younger I would wait for the day when my grandma would bring over bags and bags of tins filled with christmas cookies, that meant it was really Christmas time. Opening the tins to see what kind was in each was almost as fun as opening christmas presents.

  • My parents are separated so the holiday season is always somewhat depressing. I do love giving gifts though, way more then recieving them. I spend an outrageous amount of time picking out the perfect gift for everyone I love. ALSO, my favorite thing about winter is by far SNOW. I live in Portland, so it snows all the time. I wouldn’t know what I would do if I lived in a city where it didn’t snow.
