Can I ‘umbly recommend my own series, ‘Swallowcliffe Hall’? Downton Abbey through the servants’ eyes! The first three books – Polly’s Story, Grace’s Story and Isobel’s Story – are told by three girls who live, work and fall in love in a grand English country house in 1890, 1914 and 1939. And I’ve just released ‘Eugenie’s Story’, about the elder daughter of the family’s search for a husband in 1893.
