Amanda | A Bookshelf Monstrosity | @bookmonstrosity

Amanda is a library media specialist who blogs about book news, reading adventures, libraries, and occasionally other various topics. She is partial to literary fiction, historical fiction, contemporary fiction, classics, memoirs, narrative nonfiction on travel, social sciences, and history, free verse novels, books set in foreign countries (particularly Afghanistan and India), and quality young adult and middle grade books. Her other interests include attempting to cook, enjoying the occasional bottle of wine, and looking at Tom Hardy.

Anna | Anna Reads | @annareadsbooks

I’m a 26-year-old married lady who still firmly believes that high schools + boys make for the best books. Contemporary, paranormal, sci-fi, dystopian, you name it. When I’m not reading, I…well, nope…still reading. Since my first job at a publishing company — which started the day I turned 16 — I’ve worked as a writer/editor/Web producer. I live in the beautiful, though good-weather-challenged, city of Chicago.

Annette | Annette’s Book Spot | @amillssews

I’m a high school librarian (the BEST job in the world). I live in a small, fairly rural town with my husband, my two “grown up” kids, and a dog who is very spoiled. I love to read. I read mostly YA, my favorite is historical fiction, but I mix in the occasional adult novel. I love to write about what I’ve read and chat with others about what they’ve read, so blogging is perfect! I started Annette’s Book Spot in September, 2010, so I could “talk” about books with other book lovers.  My other hobbies are cooking and sewing, and I have another blog about that, but I don’t post there as often.

Ashley | Book Labyrinth | @BookLabyrinth

My love of reading was pretty much an inevitability, as my parents read to me even before I was born. I absolutely love YA literature, and I started Book Labyrinth to share my passion and connect me with other YA readers and book bloggers. I’m also a trained librarian who aspires to work in a public library, preferably within children’s and youth services.

Gina | The Bucket List | @GBucketList

I am a lover of all things book-related. I live in the middle-of-nowhere; the closest library is a half hour away and that’s where you can find me when I’m not at home. I read mostly YA, but I have been known to sneak into my mother’s book collection and read some of her favorites as well. I’m a college student studying to become a book publisher. I started The Bucket List in August 2010, to discuss books with fellow readers. My other hobbies include writing and watching great movies.

Ginger | G Reads! | @GReadsBooks

I’m a not-so-young-adult who loves to read young adult fiction. My love for reading did not spark until a few years ago, but once that match ignited I haven’t been able to put it out!  I am currently in school studying to be a middle school teacher, in hopes of teaching Reading and/or Language Arts.  My dream job is to be able to talk books all day long with young minds, in hopes of igniting someone else’s flame!  Born and raised in Texas, a few of my favorite things consist of using the word “y’all” as much as possible, eating tons of Mexican food, and complaining about the heat (which I secretly can’t live without).

Jacinda | The Reading Housewives of Indiana | @ReadingWifeJac

I’m a 26 year-old Hoosier. Currently I’m a SAHM to a 4 year-old boy and a 3 year-old girl. I’ve been married to my hubby, Seth, for 6 years and I’ve known him since I was senior in high school. I have two dogs and a cat which I love dearly even though they can make my life more hectic than it needs to be. Besides my love of reading which is obvious, I love my Keurig, crafting, and football. I’m afraid of heights to the point where I will not stay in a hotel room above the 7th floor or drive in mountains unless it’s at night. I dislike milk and anything banana or coconut flavored, so I’m limited on my cocktail choices. I’m a big young adult reader, but I do read an occasional adult book. My favorite types of books would have to be contemporary and historical fiction, but it used to be paranormal before I became more of an avid reader.

Jennifer | Goddess Librarian | @GoddessLibrn

Jennifer McIntosh was a YA librarian for 7 years before deciding to stay home and entertain a younger audience. She chaired VOYA’s Top Shelf Fiction for Middle Schoolers Committee, presented at numerous NYLA conferences, is currently reviewing for VOYA and writing about YA fiction for the examiner. She’s been blogging at  Goddess Librarian since 2004.

Jennifer | YA Book Nerd | @yabooknerd

I’m a Teen Librarian who LOVE LOVE LOVES books. Besides reading teen books, I love cozy mysteries and historical (mostly Regency England) romances.  I work at Otis Library in Norwich, CT as Head of the YA Department. I review books for VOYA and www.teensreadtoo.com. Besides reading books and chatting about books, going to bookstores and other libraries, plus meeting fabulous authors, I’m pretty crafty – beading, card making, and some other odd crafts. I adore candy, pizza, and the Celtics.

Jen | A Book and a Latte@bookandlatte

Hi, I’m Jen. I’m married, have a pupdog named Koda, and live in beautiful Colorado. I was a ferocious reader growing up. I used to get grounded for staying up all night reading with a flashlight, and detention for sneaking books in class! Then I went to college and I just didn’t have the time or energy to read for enjoyment. I started reading again afterwards, but it just wasn’t the same… until I embraced the YA genre! The Harry Potter Series and Twilight Saga reignited my passion for reading and once I accepted my love for all things YA, I fell in love with books again! I still read all kinds of books, but YA is where my heart is… I started my blog,  A Book and a Latte, as a way to share my passion for reading… and really all things YA – reads, TV shows, movies, and anything else that catches my eye.

Jessica | I Read to Relax | @jessyabookobssd

I am the Young Adult Librarian at the New Britain Public Library in New Britain, CT. I review books and audio books for SLJ, review books for VOYA, review audio books for AudioFile magazine, and have also done a few reviews for Publishers Weekly. I am co-chair of the YA section of CLA. I LOVE to read and talk about books.

Kari | A Good Addiction | @flamingo1325

I’m addicted to books, and hot boys. Not sure which ranks higher, but obviously I have more books so maybe that. I love contemporary books, and it’s most of what I read, but that doesn’t mean paranormal/fantasy get ignored. When I’m not reading and blogging and rambling on Twitter, I run The {Teen} Book Scene to promote YA/MG authors, and I’m also an aspiring author. I’m currently juggling three manuscripts, but trying to stick with revisions on just one to hopefully be ready to query by the end of summer. The rest of my time is spent at the day job, and badgering my dog, who gets piled with my books for pictures every week.

Lindsi | Books, Sweets, and Other Treats | @lindsiking

I am a southern girl who loves to read. I’m not a fan of the hot weather in Texas, but it never asks for my opinion. I mostly read YA, but I enjoy historical books too. I attend two colleges and work, so I have to read when I can. Lucky for me, I don’t sleep much. Books fill whatever free time I can find, and sometimes I “forget” about homework just to finish an amazing book. Coffee, video games, baseball, baking (sweets), and writing are all things I like or enjoy doing in my spare time. I love to travel and meet new people, so don’t be afraid to say hello!

Shanyn | Chick Loves Lit | @shanynlee

Shanyn is a YA book blogger who enjoys blankets, giraffes, and frisbee. Her genre of choice is contemporary, but she’s also been known to fall in love with a few paranormal books. She has been selected as a panelist for the 2011 Book Blogger Convention, and can’t wait to get a dog after her and her husband Steve finish their cross country move this summer!

Tahleen | Tahleen’s Mixed-Up Files | @Tahleen

I was an avid reader growing up and continued my love of reading into my adult years, but stayed with the young adult literature more than anything. After taking a gap semester after earning my BA in English from Ithaca College, I started working on my master’s in library science at Simmons College. I hope to be a young adult/teen librarian after I graduate in May 2012.

Tara | Fiction Folio | @taramq

I’m a Michigander-turned-Chicagoan who never leaves home without a book. YA is my genre of choice, but I will read anything I can get my hands on. I started Fiction Folio in July 2010 to share my love of books with other readers and my feelings have been confirmed – readers/bloggers are the BEST people! When I’m not working or reading, you can find me at the movies, trying new restaurants and bars, or exploring the Windy City.

Twan | Artie is My Muse | @webfootedmoose

I’m a 29 year old with a Creative Writing degree who is working at a job that has nothing to do with books or writing until i go to grad school for Library Science. I’ve been reading YA for as long as I can remember, but I do have my favorites in other genres as well. I started my blog as a way to make myself write more often and to generate discussion about books that I loved. I never imagined the awesome people I would get to interact with because of it. Life is crazy for me, so my blogging isn’t as regular as I would like, but I’ll always come back to it. Other than that, I live in Orlando and spend lots of my free time playing at Disney World. You could get almost any information you wanted out of me if you bribed me with anything that has the Muppets, Broadway, dinosaurs, moose, David Levithan, or Wally Lamb.
