IMM (5)

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by The Story Siren. Participants share the books they received for the week.

Once again, all my books this week came from Paperback Swap. It has been several weeks since I actually purchased a book. I hope you are all very proud of me. I’m really trying hard to read books from my tbr piles and my hoarded egalley folders.

  • Shine Coconut Moon by Neesha Meminger: I heard a lot of hype about this book last year, so I was looking forward to it. Unfortunately, I just read Jazz in Love and I wasn’t so in love, so we’ll see what I think about this one. I’m hoping I’ll like it better.
  • Good in Bed by Jennifer Weiner: I have to admit that I really want to read books by Jennifer Weiner and Allison Winn Scotch purely because I love reading their live tweets of reality tv shows. Seriously, social media marketing works. If they can make me laugh that much watching The Bachelor and Survivor, I can’t imagine what they’ll do in a few hundred pages. I’m excited to find out.
  • Suite Scarlett by Maureen Johnson: I always enjoy Maureen Johnson’s short stories in collab books, and I love her on Twitter as well, of course, but I haven’t actually read very many of her novels. I think The Bermudez Triangle might be the only one I’ve read so far. I want to read them all eventually, and now I have this and 13 Little Blue Envelopes in my TBR.
  • The Queen of Everything by Deb Caletti: I’ve been collecting Caletti’s books, even though I’ve only read one so far. She’s another one of those authors whose books all sound good to me; it’s hard for me to pick just by synopsis alone. Now I’m picking in order of what appears on Paperback Swap. I have one of her books from Galley Grab, too, so perhaps I’ll catch up on her new and old works soon.

What did you get in your mailbox this week?

  • I hate Jennifer Weiner’s covers, but I love her books! Enjoy all your new books, and I’ll be looking for your reviews! 🙂

    • I’m with you on the covers! There was another cover for this book that was a tiny bit better that I was hoping to get, but you can’t really choose with Paperback Swap. Ah well.

  • I’m so proud of you for not buying any books! lol Wish I could say the same for myself, haha. I seriously need to read some Deb Caletti books. I know I keep saying this. Especially since I’ll be meeting her in April at TeenBook Con here in Houston!
