IMM (7)

In My Mailbox is a meme hosted by The Story Siren. Participants share the books they received for the week.

I got an embarrassing amount of stuff this week. A lot of Paperback Swap books came. I got a B&N Groupon, and then I got a little carried away with my order. Plus, I finished the Jessica Darling books I had gotten from PBS and the next ones didn’t look like they were going to be available any time soon, so I ended up buying them. Then I found out that my local Indie is closing, so I went and bought some books there to support them. I also got a present and a couple review books. I’d been so good for so long, but clearly I lack will power.

Swapped through Paperback Swap:

  • Good Girls by Laura Ruby
  • Family History by Dani Shapiro
  • The Nature of Jade by Deb Caletti
  • After Summer by Nick Earls
  • A Brief Chapter in my Impossible Life by Dana Reinhardt
  • Writers on Writing: Volume II from the NYT
  • Between Mom and Jo by Julie Ann Peters

  • Delirium by Lauren Oliver (Thank you so much Ginger!!!)

  • Break by Hannah Moskowitz
  • Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine
  • Boy Heaven by Laura Kasischke
  • North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley
  • Gigged by Heath Gibson (It sounded awesome when I read about it on That Cover Girl)
  • Fourth Comings by Megan McCafferty
  • Perfect Fifths by Megan McCafferty
  • When the Stars Go Blue by Caridad Ferrer
  • Viola in Reel Life by Adriana Trigiani
  • Across the Universe by Beth Revis

Received for review:

  • The Latte Rebellion by Sarah Jamila Stevenson (from Elevate Difference)
  • The Day Before by Lisa Schroeder (Galley Grab)
  • What Can’t Wait by Ashley Hope Perez (NetGalley)

What did you get in your mailbox this week?

  • *Jealous*

I’ll be interested to hear what you think of NORTH OF BEAUTIFUL. I couldn’t get into it. And I really wanted to. Maybe I’ll try it again soon, but the font was funky, so I might get it for Kindle and see if that makes a difference.

  • Clearly there are some varied opinions on North of Beautiful! I’d heard good things about it, and I saw it at the Indie today. Was a little iffy about it, but figured I should buy something there.

  • Wow– you really did make out! I’ve been very bad over the past couple of weeks. I think I’m going to start writing down every book I buy in 2011 to try and curb the purchases a bit. Looks like you got some good books though.

    • I saw After Summer in somebody’s list of Aussie books. I can’t remember who compiled it. There were quite a few on there that I added to my wish list, so I’m chipping away at them as I find them.
