Interview: Jennifer Echols

Thanks to Jennifer Echols for taking the time to answer my interview questions (in 140 characters or less). I loved Forget You and Going Too Far, and can’t wait to read Love Story, which comes out July 19th.

What is the most interesting thing you have done in the name of research?
My work in progress, SUCH A RUSH, is about teen pilots, and my dad has been taking me up in his plane.

What recent book do you wish you could give your teenage self?
Rosemary Clement-Moore’s TEXAS GOTHIC is coming out on July 12 and though I haven’t read it yet, I know my teen self would love it and read it 20 times. It sounds THAT GOOD.

What fictional character makes you swoon the most?
Han Solo in STAR WARS. Old school.

What song would you choose to function as Love Story’s theme song?
“The Only Exception” by Paramore, because that was at the top of my iPod playlist while I wrote this book.

In what ways do you think you’ve changed the most as a writer since publishing your first book?
Writing is still hard and my career is still not a sure thing day to day, but it’s a great relief to be published and know I’m not crazy in thinking I can write.
