Review Policy
Please note that I do not accept self-published books or unsolicited guest posts.
I accept books for review from both authors and publishers. If you would like to submit a book for me to review, contact me at melanie@reclusivebibliophile.com.
Please specify whether you would like me to host a contest or an interview with the review. If permission is granted, I may elect to give away books as promotional items. Media files such as cover art and author photos are appreciated in order to ensure that high quality images are posted.The turnaround time for completing the review will be determined on an individual basis. Acceptance of a book does not guarantee a review.
I am primarily interested in contemporary realistic adult and young adult fiction, though I will also consider reviewing other genres as well as middle grade fiction, poetry, and nonfiction. I will accept bound books, ebooks, and audio books.
All of my reviews reflect my personal opinions. Therefore, not all reviews will be favorable; I try to present a balanced view and respect the hard work of the author. If, for any reason, I feel that I am unable to provide an honest or complete review, I will contact you to discuss the reasons behind my decision.

- Author
- Genre
- Publisher
- Date of Publication
- ISBN
- Author’s Website
- Relevant Web Media
- Summary of the Book
- Review of the Book
