Suzanne Collins Among Time’s Top 100 of 2010

Suzanne Collins, author of The Hunger Games Trilogy, has been named one of Time Magazine’s top 100 most influential people of the year. Time calls her a “literary fusioneer” with “dexterity [that] lends itself to marketing speak.” Katniss, the novels’ protagonist, is characterized as a reluctant champion who “trounces dystopic despots while chewing her cheek in self-doubt.” Together, the author and character are revolutionizing a fictional world as well as the world we live in.
