Tomorrow: Dewey’s 24-Hour-Readathon
I am going to be participating in my first readathon tomorrow. If you haven’t signed up, it’s not too late! Get more info at Dewey’s 24 Hour Readathon. Since this is my first one, I’ll be learning as I go, but the gist is that there will be lots of reading, cheering, challenges, and prizes. There’s no way I’ll make it through all 24 hours because I’m a major wimp and need sleep, and I have a puppy who would never tolerate that, but I’m hoping to use this as an opportunity to work through a good chunk of my TBR pile.
Here are some of my book possibilities for tomorrow:
There’s no way I will get through all of these, but I tried to pull out lots of thin books from my collection. I think finishing more books will help me feel like I’m accomplishing something as I make it through the day. Many of these books are older titles or books I’ve had sitting around for a while, so this will be a good excuse to read books that aren’t brand new or necessarily for review. (Though I have a stack of those I really need to get through, too. Maybe there should be readathons every week.) I’m a mood reader, though, so I can’t promise I will stick to this pile. Other books may start flying off my shelves depending on what I’m feeling after a certain amount of caffeination.
Check back periodically tomorrow to see my progress. If you’re participating, too, let me know and I’ll make sure to visit your blogs throughout the day!
