Top Ten Books I Hope Santa Brings

Top Ten Tuesday is a feature organized by The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s feature is about the top ten books you are hoping Santa will bring.

This is a tough top ten for me to complete because I’m pretty sure Santa isn’t bringing me any books. For one thing, I don’t celebrate Christmas; even though I do receive some Christmas presents, people seem to think that I don’t need any more books. I have been buying books with my Birthday and Hannukkah money but I can’t put those on a wish-list here since I already bought them.

All the same, here are ten books I really want and might get myself as gifts sometime soon. (Narrowing these down from my wish-list of over 200 books was NOT easy.) If any of you want to be my Santa and send them on over, feel free 😉

  1. Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta
  2. The Kid Table by Andrea Seigel
  3. Break by Hannah Moskowitz
  4. Once by Morris Gleitzman
  5. Seth Baumgartner’s Love Manifesto by Eric Luper
  6. Not That Kind of Girl by Siobhan Vivian
  7. A Little Wanting Song by Cath Crowley
  8. Uglies: The Collector’s Set by Scott Westerfeld
  9. Still Missing by Chevy Stevens
  10. Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty

What books are you hoping for this holiday season?

  • I bought Jellicoe Road awhile back b/c of all the wonderful things I’d heard about it.. read the first chapter & I was so completely lost :-\ Maybe it wasn’t my time to be reading that book, but I put it down & haven’t been back since. I hope Santa brings it to you & then you can tell me what I am missing lol.

    • Jellicoe Road seems to be one of those love it or hate it kind of books. Most people rave about it, but I have heard some others say that they got lost or that it just took more mental energy than they really wanted to devote at the time. I hope I’ll like it, but I haven’t gotten it for myself yet because I’m a little nervous that I’ll fall in the second camp.

    • I’ve never read any of her books and I’m feeling really left out. I want to read the Jessica Darling series and I’m looking forward to Bumped.

  • Still Missing is awesome – an incredible book! It’s one of my favourite books of 2010 I think! I’ve heard mixed things about Jellicoe Road but I’d like to give it a go.

    • That’s good to hear. I hadn’t seen much feedback about Still Missing since I don’t know many people who read adult fiction.
