Weimaraner Wednesday (1)

I’ve been thinking a bit about what this blog needs, and I think the answer is clear. This blog needs more puppy. The fact is that Wiki has a blog of her own, but I’m horrible about updating it. One blog at a time is really about all I can handle. I’m not ready to get rid of the other one, but I think it’s time to share a little more doggy love over here.

With the permission of Presenting Lenore, who hosts the always adorable Cat Tuesdays, I will be hosting Weimaraner Wednesdays. It seems that most book bloggers are cat people, but I’m hoping we have a few dog lovers out there who will appreciate this departure from the bookish routine.

To start us off, I thought I’d share a few pictures of Wiki enjoying the snow. Winter doesn’t seem to be done with us here in upstate NY. While I am extremely ready for spring to show up and melt all the snow away, Wiki has been enjoying it profusely. Here are some pics of her having a good time on one of our involuntary snow days in which she got to benefit from my inability to make it out the driveway.

  • Aww Wiki! If only Wiki would use that energy to shovel the snow as well πŸ˜›

Love this edition to your blog! πŸ™‚

    • I know, right!? There are so many constructive ways that energy could be channeled….she actually does do a pretty good job of making paths in the snow, at least, just by trampling through it so much.

  • Wow..and I really meant to say “addition” but clearly it’s too early and I haven’t had my coffee and I’ve been vomiting all night lol

    • Oh no! Hope you feel better soon. Sick, sleep deprived people can be forgiven for spelling issues πŸ™‚

  • I’m all for more puppy on the blog πŸ™‚ & I can’t believe y’all are still getting snow. A “cool front” came through Texas last night. I woke up to 50 degrees! But it’ll be back to 80 by tomorrow, I’m sure.

  • Well it is about time! I think WIki should have a say in your blog since she is so much a part of your life. Maybe she can even help you write a word or two or at least make suggestions?! There are many books with dogs in them that I am sure she has an opinion on.

  • Though I am primarily a cat person, I’ve had several dogs in my life and the majority of them have been labs, who somewhat resemble Weims. How could anyone not love that gorgeous fur and light blue eyes? I, for one, am fully supportive of this new feature. Love it!

  • I love this! I was thinking about adding a doggy feature to my blog, too. Every blog needs more dog!

Wiki sure looks like she’s having fun!

    • Dogs=Puppies for me, too! I always talk about my puppy and people are like oh a puppy how old is she…and then look at me like a crazy person when I say she is two.
